WIZARD 50 SERIES MINI BLASTING MACHINE

The WIZARD 50/II is a capacitor discharge (CD) blasting machine, the most reliable firing means available. This mini-blaster stores a large quantity of electrical energy, provided by one "AA" dry cell battery. The WIZARD 50 can discharge the stored energy in the capacitor to the firing system in a fraction of a second. The WIZARD 50 capacitor discharge (CD) mini-blasting machine can fire 50 electric (1 ohm) blasting caps in series on a one half mile reel of military communications wire, equal to 22 gauge wire.

The WIZARD 50/II has a built-in Demolition Safety Light (DSL) to safely check continuity of initiators and firing lines.

Feature 1

Fits in the palm of your hand, and is about the size of a pack of cigarettes. The polymer case is indestructible. Requires only a one hand operation.

Feature 2

The "Charge" switch is held down until the "Ready" light glows (usually 15 to 30 seconds). When the "Ready" light first comes on and flickers the machine has charged to 190 volts DC. The capacitor will continue to charge until the ready light stops. flickering at 300 volts DC, 8.5 Joules, which is the maximum power capacity.

Feature 3

The charging sequence can be stopped at anytime by releasing the "Charge" button. As a safety precaution, upon release of the "Charge" switch, the capacitor is instantly discharged and power is removed from the circuit. The capacitor is shunted when not in use.

Feature 4

The WIZARD 50 output is 300 Volts DC. at 8.5 Joules. Both the "Charge" and "Fire" switches must be depressed to fire the blasting machine.
Feature 5

The single “AA” battery is in a separate compartment from the electronic components. There is no shock hazard when changing the battery.
